Mission The National Society of Accountants (NSA) is the preeminent
organization for professionals who provide accounting, tax and related financial services
to individuals and small businesses.
The mission of the National Society of Accountants is to foster the free enterprise system
and serve NSA members, and thereby the public, by providing members with information,
resources and representation. To accomplish this mission we:
- Protect the right to practice of licensed and unlicensed members;
- Promulgate and enforce a code of ethics;
- Promote compliance with standards of excellence in practice;
- Represent members and their clients before the federal government;
- Provide high quality education;
- Assist members in obtaining professional credentials;
- Work cooperatively with affiliated organizations;
- Provide opportunities for specialization;
- Promote communication and networking;
- Disseminate technological information;
- Cooperate with other organizations on matters of mutual interest;
- Provide members with needed benefits;
- Encourage careers in accounting; and
- Foster a positive image of our members and the profession.
